How to Lace Up a Prom Dress

Prom is one of those occasions that most teen girls look forward to from a young age. The chance to find a gown, dress up like a princess and have a perfect night with the boy of their current dreams is something many girls find exciting. Every year prom styles change, but certain aspects stay relatively unchanged. One of those aspects is the lace up back of certain dresses. It's not uncommon to see the lace up back on prom gowns, but it can be challenging to lace it up correctly.

Lace up the back of your prom dress like you would lace a pair of sneakers. This is the most common method of lacing up Ball Gown Prom Dresses.

Place the ends of the lace inside the bottom-most eyelets of the back of the prom dress. Push the ends inside the eyelets from the top, taking care to keep each side of the lace the same length.

Cross the left side of the lace over the right side in a crossing pattern and stick each side into the next set of eyelets. Repeat the cross and eyelet stick until you have laced every eyelet in the dress. Now you can tie your laces together as tightly or loosely as needed to make your dress fit your body.
